Your tasks:
Crafting and technology are your passion? Then becoming a cutting machine operator could be a great fit for you. As an expert in the field of metal technology, you are making use of machining processes such as milling, drilling, grinding and turning.
Milling, grinding, turning
As a specialized cutting machine operator, you are making parts and components in serial or individual production lines to be used for tool making. Therefore, you will mainly use machinery for milling, drilling, grinding, turning and eroding with either computer aided or manual operating systems, so you can prove your crafting know-how as well as technical understanding!
From the preparation to the finished product
Before you get to work, you will precisely check your instructions and engineering drawings and the choose the right tools and machinery for your project. You are in charge of setting up the right production parameters as well as the machines. Next, you will, for example mill the workpiece into the designated length and width or equip it with profiles, gaps and drills.
You will supervise the production process and check the quality of the finished product. Also, surface processing is part of your tasks.
